The Uyo Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Leader of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

This was the crux of the meeting hosted by Prince Enobong Uwah at his Shelter Afrique residence, today Sunday 23 May, 2021.

Prince Uwah in his opening remarks called on every Uyo person to give unflinching support to Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Completion Agenda.

Uwah, who took time to explain extensively the importance of the ongoing life-touching projects of the State Government, assured the stakeholders, that, Governor Emmanuel would continue to empower more people from Uyo extraction.

Prince Uwah applauded the governor’s effort in revitalizing the different sectors, adding that, Governor Emmanuel is committed to delivering dividends of democracy to the people.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, urged stakeholders to work harmoniously and remain loyal to the governor. The Chairman reechoed that, the people should support the programs and policies of Governor Udom led administration.

The Chairman Akwa Ibom State Local Government Service Commission, Hon Monday Eyo, in his speech, said the people are waiting for the governor’s direction. He reiterated his resolve to continue supporting the government of the day.

On his part, the member representing Uyo State Constituency in AKHA, Rt. Hon. Anietie Eka stated that, Uyo PDP remain loyal yo Governor Emmanuel. His words,
“The entire PDP structure in Uyo Local Government Area is with Gov. Udom Emmanuel. PDP is a religion in Akwa Ibom. We’ll stand solidly by the governor… We’ve resolved to support the governor to deliver”

The Commissioner for Environment, Sir Charles Udoh as well as his counterpart, Dr John James Edet, Commissioner for Petroleum charged other stakeholders to give the much needed support to Governor Udom Emmanuel and his people-oriented programs.

The House Leader of Uyo Legislative Council, Hon Akan Eyo moved a motion for the vote of confidence on Governor Udom Emmanuel which was seconded by Mrs Uduak Okon, PDP Deputy Chairman, Uyo Chapter.

The meeting had in attendance various stakeholders; State officers of the party, Chapter/ Ward leaders from Uyo LGA.
