Nsit Ubium Needs Pedestrian Bridge

Etinan people are jubilating of having the longest flyover in Akwa Ibom State named after one the villages in their local government.
While Nsit Ubium people are asking God for forgiveness in wherever they have erred, so that Mbiokene and Nung Obong villages can also be proud of having a pedestrian bridge linking the communities before 2023.
Our governor His Excellency Mr Udom Emmanuel didn’t talk about this project during his media chat.

Mbiekene/ Nung Obong Collapsed Bridge

During my new year visit to my home town, I took a work to my neighbouring community, Mbiekene Village of Ubium North 1, Nsit Ubium LGA.
I discovered that this bridge that collapsed about ten (10) years ago is still in a deplorable condition. To my greatest surprise, I also discovered that indigenes and residents of Edem Idem Okpot, Mbiekene, and other neighbouring communities are still using the collapsed bridge since it is the only access road that links them to Eket and Oron.

Due to the poor condition of this bridge and the road, the people of Nung Obong Ubium can no longer cross to Mbiekene, Edem Idim Okpot and Ikot Eyo to trade or farm.

The people of these areas are suffering and are also lamenting due to the sorrowful condition of this bridge and the road.

As a patriotic citizen, I join my voice with that of other indigenes of this communities to call on the government of Akwa Ibom Ibom state to please come to our rescue.

Thank you very much.

Please give this appeal the widest publicity it deserves so that next governor chat succour will meet these communities
